Hippo Adventure Tours was founded in 2014 by Holger Klose, a passionate tour guide. Since early October 2023, I, Claudia Garbade, have taken over as the new owner of Hippo Adventure Tours. I was born in Windhoek and raised
on a guest and cattle farm in the Khomas Highlands, which allows me to proudly identify as a true "Plaasmeisie" (farmer's daughter). Meeting new people and traveling are among my greatest passions.
After my studies in South Africa, I quickly returned to Namibia, where I gained professional experience in various hotel and lodge operations, Swakopmund activities, and travel planning. With over 15 years of professional
experience, I possess the expertise and the passion to provide our guests with unforgettable experiences in Namibia.
We at Hippo Adventure Tours are very dedicated in supporting various projects. 20% of our profit goes into cleaning up operations, protecting and preserving wildlife and we also sponsor anti-poaching units.
Our most important aim however is, to support local communities because we strongly believe, that together with the people, the youth in particular and through education, most goals may be achieved.
